My Garden

Come into my garden, made of love and peace
Find a patch of grass by which to rest you feet
Absorb the scent of passion…of honesty
Open your hand and let all burdens fly free

Sit beneath a bold tree of deep compassion
Debrief the world’s constant moving action
Tell me your heart as I let you into mine
Let us prune our character as we intertwine

My garden is guarded and is gently locked
To keep insensitive travelers out and blocked
Until I find the one who will walk with me
Will you come into my garden if I give you the key?
