Swan Song

I dip my head beneath the surface
Of my holy waters
My sanctuary
Glorious,radiant..hues of blue
Caress and stroke my
Painful soul
Endlessly I glide and sway
Tracing endless…infinite patterns
Trying to find the regal…prideful assurance
That the rest of my flock seem to easily assimilate
Instead of holding my head high
Letting the golden light kiss my face
I play hide and seek
Within the shadows of the moon
All around me I look
And I notice, that I glide alone
In a solitary waltz
In the still of the night
A single acapella cry
Echoes in the mist
As I wait for a partner
To ease the lonliness
And show me the way home…….
