WolfQuest - How to Find A Mate

Alright, so this is one thing I found out in WolfQuest today, March 20, 2010. I was playing WolfQuest, looking for a mate. First, I found it hard. But then, I discovered this little secret. It became as easy as cake!!!

Although you are looking for a mate of the opposite gender, you will have to interact with stranger wolves in every Wolf Territory.
There are three Wolf Territories:

-Amethyst Mountain
-Grassy Plains
-Soda Butte Vista

First of all, visit each one & defeat as many wolves as you can (especially in Amethyst Mountain & in Grassy Plains). Wolves in Grassy Plains & Amethyst Mountain are easier to kill than the Druid Wolves of Soda Butte Vista. In Grassy plains, there are male & female Slough Wolves. In Amethyst Mountains, there are male & female Specimen Wolves. And, in Soda Butte Vista, there are but fierce male & female Druid Wolves.

In order to find a mate, first visit each territory (which I find VERY hard), switch to Scent View (press the ‘V’ key), and locate the stranger wolves by their smell (big yellow spots) (I also find this very hard). Once you’ve done that, defeat them & dominate them by saying things like, “I want to be boss”, “I’m boss, back off!”, or “You’re not my family!!!”. Once you get them to say things like, “I give in!”, tell him/her to “Leave now!” or “Get out of here!”.
WARNING: Do not tell them that “It’s your move now” in the middle of a fight, because it would cause you to be hurt more AND give them a chance to attack you. It’s a dumb decision to say that! Also don’t say “I give in!” either, because either that means you’re too weak to fight the other wolf or you’re giving up. Keep up the fight, and you’ll win!

To find a mate, you must at least defeat 17 wolves in different territories.
When that’s done, go to Soda Butte Vista and defeat one or two Druid Wolves.
And, here’s the trick. The easy trick. You have to die 1 or 2 times, then dominate a Druid Wolf again. Try & try until you succeed, and don’t give up! Once you defeat a Druid Wolf, come back again & you’ll find a DISPERSAL WOLF! It’s a very unbelievable trick, but it’s easy, trust me! Once you’ve encountered the Dispersal Wolf, don’t, I repeat, DON’T scare it away!

After you’ve defeated the Druid Wolf, the Dispersal Wolf will appear & when you approach it, it will say, “I’m not so sure about this.”.
So, say “Hello there!” and then a heart will appear in her message box.
Say, “Let’s play!” and another heart would appear, and she’ll say, “Let’s play!”.
Just keep it up, and when it reaches THREE HEARTS, immediately say, “Let’s make a pack!” or else her hearts would decrease by one & she’ll say “Don’t go away!”. When that happens, say “Let’s play!” or “Let’s hang out!” again, and add another heart. After that, just say, “Let’s make a pack” & add another heart. She’ll say “Let’s make a pack” too, and when she gets to five or six hearts, she’s your mate. Just name her, then click “Leave Arena”. After that, there you are.

NOTE: If you can’t seem to SAVE your game after getting your mate, and you’re FRUSTRATED (like I was!!!), just wait for the tutorial to appear (you’re SO unlucky if you removed the tutorials!). The tutorial will say something like,

“Congratulations! You have found your perfect mate & has now a great bond” or something like that, but it’s a big message!

Click OK & then immediately press ESCAPE BUTTON ON YOUR KEYBOARD to make the options menu appear. Then, the SAVE button will appear! Hurray!

After you save the game, click on “New Game”, and then click “Single Player” and load “Slough Creek”. There you go, now you’re ready to meet new challenges!!!

-Find a den!
-Raise pups!
-Feed & train your pups!
-Mark your territory!
-Raid a Cattle Ranch!!! (Night Mission only)

April 30, 2010 – I found out a much easier way of saving your game, even without tutorials. =) Just find an elk carcass, feed on it, and then you can save. There, it’s that simple. Especially when there are many elk lying around, free to be eaten by anybody. =)

Also, note that the Druid wolves aren’t much easy to beat. They pack quite a bite! Luckily, there’s an old glitch that lets you have a wolf with maximum strength & maximum speed/stamina. I can’t say much, though, it’s really hard to explain by words. You have to watch it by VIDEO.
