I was walking along a trail during the Fall season in DC. I came across this rock outcropping, and on one of the rocks was this vine with beautiful red leaves. The leaves were laying flat on the rock and they just stood out from the grey white background of the rock. I had Black and White film in my old Nikon SL camera… yup, this was at least 10 years ago. But I still thought I would capture the essence of the picture in B/W. I’m not as skilled yet to do something where I color the leaves… but that may be down the road.
I do love it as it is though. The texture of the rock as a background is great.
