Artist's Description

On the way to a picnic lunch by the Brandywine River’s edge, we stopped at our friends 130 acre old farm. As soon as we pulled into the long, tree lined drive, I saw this barn and screamed STOP! It was so beautiful, yet so simple and my Photographer’s instinct kicked in! This old barn was built in the 1805 and has withstood weather, decay and is filled with history. If you look to the left in the photo, you will see two black dots. They are Swallows (birds), that live in the barn. When we went up to the barn, I tried to capture them, but they were just way to quick! Seeing this farm was a huge treat for those of us who were with our dear friend! This is dedicated to my friend and her love for history, exploration and also for filling my life with great adventures, sparkling enthusiasm and sisterly love!

This photograph was captured with a Canon 40D, equipped with an 18-200mm lens in Chester County, Pennsylvania, USA.
