Artist's Description

The sun peaking down, above the clouds, created quite a geometrical picture in the warm and late afternoon light. The San Luis Reservoir is a large lake on San Luis Creek in the eastern slopes of the Diablo Range of Merced County, California. It is spread across 12,700 acres. Part of the San Luis Reservoir also serves as a California State Park.

There is much contention between Farmers and the Feds to have access to the water, due to the drought. It’s a sad state of affairs for all of California and the USA as well…

This photograph was shot from the San Luis Reservoir located in the San Joaquin Valley, California, USA with a Canon 40D, equipped with an 18-200mm lens.
