Artist's Description

An abandoned 1900’s era hat factory in New York. The building is most likely not long for this world. Investors and land brokers occasionally buzz about the outskirts of the property like flies around a bloated corpse. The tentacles of Father Time reach skyward, creeping up the brick facade. If left unchecked the greedy grasp of nature will swallow the building whole, burying it in a green tangle of clutching vines and slowly strangling the life and sturdiness out of the structure. But at the very same time this process returns the building back to it’s organic roots and allows something else to flourish in its place.

Scratches on the brickwork from locals and employees used to share some sort of message. Now it seems that they only tell the tale of the building’s timeworn stoicism.
