No Going Back

A little boy cries for his mommy
But she’s no where to be found
He is suffering from starvation
And needs help but no ones around

A young girl is selling her body
Just so her child has something to eat
Her parents kicked her out her only home
And now she prostitutes for water, food, and heat

Two parents look for their daughter a year too late
She was pregnant the last time they saw her
They were mad so they kicked her out
But now they regret what they did to her

The two parents only wanted their daughter to learn from her mistake
The young girl is now nowhere to be found because she was killed after being raped
The little boy dies from starvation and malnutrition a little ways after that
And it doesn’t help to know that this situation could have been prevented . . .

If the daughter used protection or abstinence
If the parents buried the anger and were more caring and loving
If the daughter got a real job or chose to stay at a relative’s house
But no if, now it’s the parent’s daughter and only grandchild they’re burying

And there’s no going back

No Going Back
