It is what it is

The hardest part is starting over, it’s like searching for a four-leaf clover.
This empty feeling in my left hand.
Where the circle of love and friendship used to stand.
Well this is how it’s gonna be, no more us, no more you, only me.
It is what it is, and nothing more.
Time to stop hurting, this body’s too sore.
Anger, vengeance, or regret, it’s a feeling that I’ll never forget.
If you wanted a little too real, step into my shoes and see how I feel.
Bet you can’t walk a mile without needing a ride, it’s all your fault that inside I’ve died.
It is what it is, so set me free.
My time’s been wasted on all this uncertainty.
Forgive or forget, hard to believe that this never meant shit.
Don’t expect to see much more of me, just pretend that I don’t exist and let me be.
So stop asking me if I’m okay, because you really don’t care what I have to say.
Putting off the chance to talk, and just ignoring all of my calls.
Seems to be that this is how it ends.
Do me a favor and let’s not be friends.
Because I don’t need a reason to care anymore.
I’ve had enough and that’s for sure.
Go away and just leave me alone.
I’m tired of it all, I can do it on my own.
It is what it is, as I say again, go have fun, my once beloved friend.
