Scott Kelby Worldwide Photo Walk 2010
This year was the Scott’s 3rd Annual Photo Walk hosting amazingly over 1100 photo walks, and 33,483 photographers worldwide. It keeps growing each year. Last year there were around 900 walks and 32,000 people, which was huge leap from the 236 locations and 8,324 people the first year.
A photo walk is basically a social photography event where photographers get together and spend a couple of hours photographing a community. The first two years I was part of a group in Birmingham, Alabama. This year I just wanted to visit somewhere different, so I joined a group around Huntsville, Alabama. Our walk took place at Mooresville, which was the first town to become incorporated in the Territory of Alabama. So it is actually older that the state itself.
While cotton may have stepped down from the throne that it was once on, it still provides for the families of many farmers across the state.
