Capture a Memory

Photos are just moments
frozen in time and of space,
Happy memories
remind us of a time and a place.
Candid instants trapped
sometimes in a daze,
Quirky little poses
stopped in one plane.

We all enjoy taking pictures
behind the camera safe,
From the ever watchful lens
the shutter does strafe.
Catching times of remembrance
wonderfully caught,
Of loved ones and young ones
pictures never more have been sought.

Snapping off shots of all manner of things,
These are the joys and excitement a camera brings.

We most have a
camera we use all too well,
Poorly framed pictures and cut-offs
bad photos do tell.
But when one is framed right
a masterpiece it is born,
To be kept for all time
even when old and if torn.
These old family keepsakes
now priceless I bet,
From a place those timeless memories
now impossible to get.
Pictures are taken
by so many every single day,
Worth a thousand words or more
so it is that they say.

I like catching visions
some picturesque and others not,
Annoyed by the missed moments
you wished that you got.
Many more frames I will shoot
until I get just one right,
Learn to shoot in all kinds of weather
and all types of light.

Of weddings and birthdays
or even a new childs birth,
Photography is just so valuable
when you know what a picture is worth.
Old feelings they flood back
relived as as when you remember the details
of what you can see,
Cherished moments
revisited safely and best of all for free.

I record snippets of my life as new years old memories fade,
Freeze frame captures a second for what it is worth another
memory has been made.
