Time Passes By...

Days and days slide on by
Sometimes unnoticed, sometimes just sly

It took a great one
Sitting by the sea
To notice one day, time was passing me

I asked him quietly
How do you see?
How is it that you noticed time passing me?

His answer was simple
Truth often is…
Sometimes unsupported, but rarely said in glee

Frowning, sad, wise and true
His gaze unswerving and solid – he knew

Your look is clinical, clear and strong
But unfortunately, you’re not singing your song!
Your posture is upright, no lean or slouch
No-one next to you for comfort, sitting on your couch

Inside you here, I see a bright light
‘Tis often concealed, hidden, but still,
This man seems to know my plight

Love you must
Give and trust
Travel away, move on a must

Go forth and be noticed, sing her a song
Bring her a rose,
Don’t let it be too long

Sing songs?
This one cannot
A great curse would descend upon on the spot
So poetry it is, written in verse
Sometimes no rhythm, but at least no curse

She knows it’s true
From deep within
A fight still brews, but which will win
The head, the heart, one must come through

No thoughts of lies,
They talk it through
Each explaining what they must do

Return from there he knows he must
To begin again, his life in trust
First the vision, live more life, more lust

She however continues on
Her dreams fulfilling, this life she trusts
A journey not broken, a story not told
To be shared later, when things unfold

They are different you see,
Lands apart
Love exchanged, from heart to heart
This story not finish, it’s just the start

Time, still, passing on……………

Time Passes By...
