Looking down Audlem locks from lock No. 8
Designed by Peter Lythgoe
A view down the Audlem lock flight on the Shropshire Union canal, looking down from the top of lock number eight. The original is Oil and acrylic on hardboard. 855mm by 63mm. There are fifteen locks in the Audlem flight, so this is around the middle of a morning's work descending the flight. After the last lock in this view there are moorings where one can stop and explore the delightful village of Audlem before completing the flight.
