Another Challenge Win!

my image Mt. Shuksan Reflection has won another challenge. I’m proud to announce this is the 4th challenge this image has won. It has also been featured 11 times. Thank you to all of you who may have voted for this photo. It is very humbling and makes me so happy that you appreciate my work. Happy Holidays to all!

I made a sale!!!

an anonymous buyer just purchased a matted print and 8 cards of my Downtown Seattle photo!

THANK YOU – very excited to have made my first sale of a matted print.

having a great week

I’ve won four challenges this week – very exciting – my photo Fall in Door County, Wisconsin won the Colors of the Fall Challenge in the Trees group, the Beauty of Autumn challenge in the Midwestern United States group, tied for first place in the Featured Work Only in the Trees group, and came in second place in the Autumn Moments challenge in the Where on Earth is This group.

My photo Bagley Lakes Trail, Mt. Baker Area won the Nature Made Park Pathways challenge in the All Parks group!

Two of the challenges came with $20 RB vouchers, so I’m very happy about that. Thanks to any of you who may have voted for my photos. I appreciate it so much!

My photo of Seattle fireworks has been featured on the home page today (July 26, 2010) – so very honored!

Does anyone know how to get a copy of the home page in the comments section? Will Redbubble do that for me?

Another Challenge Win!

My photo “Fireworks in Seattle (with Space Needle)” has won the Fireworks challenge in The Scavenger Hunt group – thanks so much to any who voted for my photo, I appreciate it more than you can know. These fireworks were a complete surprise to me, I just happened to be out taking night shots of downtown Seattle when suddenly they just started for some unknown reason. I found out later it was a private party for a major insurance company.

my first sale - three cards

I have had three different cards sold in the last two weeks – it’s very exciting to have people appreciate your work enough to actually order it. The buyers were apparently anonymous, but thank you to whoever you are. :-)

My first May feature

(and hopefully not the last LOL)

I really enjoyed visiting the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival last month and I’m still working on those photos. Last night I uploaded this photo and it was featured in the United State group this morning. :-)

Would love some feedback

I have a photo that is very similar in composition to another photo, but when I put it in challenges, it gets few if any votes, while the other photo often is in the Top Ten. While keeping your feedback positive about the other photo, I’m just curious if I could get some honest feedback about my own photo. Is mine too bright? Too dark? Sky too fake? Colors too saturated? Something else? I just took a photography class yesterday and it was mentioned that you should calibrate your computer screen, so possibly my photos don’t look as good to others on this website as it does to me on my own computer, they could be much darker than what I’m seeing. I’d love your feedback about these two photos. Mine is the first one. And please know that I want you to keep your comments positive on …

A Challenge win!

My photo of the Space Needle and Downtown Seattle won the challenge for Best Northwest Big City Skyline – thanks so much to all who voted for my photo, I appreciate it so much.

A feature

I made it to the coast of Washington this week and unexpectedly was greeted with gorgeous, sunny (albeit windy) weather! I didn’t expect that (it was cloudy the whole way), but I had a relative in town and figured what the heck. I took this photo, and was happy to have it featured in the SEA Group the day after I uploaded it. I’ve had so many features lately, I’ve had no time to journal about them, but wanted to share this pic because I love the coast so much. I hope you like it.
