Have you noticed this world
through our eyes recently?
That sun, old to us,
to you, sprightly young, fresh
out of the instant of your
new dream.

I met a tall raven once.
I think his shadow is doing a great job
dimming the whole place:
cold and callous,

I’ll never forget the time
I called on death
and he arrived.

Have you caressed the inside of trees
lately, sailing by
on clouds like a child’s dreams?

Or do you actually know
that tender souls suffer
when they can’t breathe
the breath of roses?

I’m so thankful I share this world
with tender-hearted ones who hurt
because they love earth so much,
and still see wild faces in clouds,
and believe that somebody
finger paints the sky,
and pause with hushed breath
each time they spin through your ring of glory.

Have you run your shining fingers
over the bodies of innocent little fish today,
or felt the stretch of claws
in the feet of young leopards learning to climb,
or tasted fish blood in the beak of ospreys,
or the pain of a human heart longing
for joy in a more beautiful world?

I sense you snuggled up
inside soft flowers, in the warm bellies of bears,
in the bosom of bees and Life is writing you.
I still wonder how you can create such solid things
from a mist of dreams?

Sometimes barren logic
rapes me with normality.
At other times poetry happens
and I sense you sailing
amidst the inside of things.
But the third thing
is unforgettable and transfigures me.

Your voice is a branding iron.

Artist's Description

*Another collaboration with the amazing artist, Matteo Pontonutti
16 years old and wildly flying for just starting to fly.

This is a new poem, inspired in part by the amazing poetry of Presence Written by Robin Lucas and coming out of my own love for the Great Love, the secret loving Eyes of Creation.

I know in such dark times it is easy to be cynical about the reality of Light and Love being the Source of all Existence, but then, in this school, we are learning how to f__k things up by being out of harmony with the wisdom and freedom of real Love. How happy are those who disengage with the resistive dark within for the sake of getting Lighter and freer, resonating with the vibrational harmonies of happy, healthy Life!*
