Artist's Description

What a hoot this day was. It was Sunday, October13, 2012 early morning. The Breezin’ Thru went straight out of Kentmoor to the shadow of a towering cargo ship. The seas were huge. I had to get on my knees and rest my camera on the gunwales to steady my camera. There would be just the bow of Miss Caroline II across six breaking waves and then just the stern. Tilghman’s dog, Chief clung to the stern boxes losing contact several times. We rigged up, hooked up live bait fish and cast. Chief so wanted to jump in and retrieve those casts. On the return trip to Kentmorr, Chief took on those bait fish in the tank. He doused his face trying to catch a fish. Then he figured out a game of cat-and-mouse by chasing them to the bottom of the tank only for the fish to find him there too. Then he would stand back and lunge at the tank and grab a fish.
He succeeded every time thereafter. Being a retriever with a sweet, soft mouth no fish died.
