Outside The Gates of Hell:

The air was crisp that Autumn night
Stars scattered throughout the blackened sky
As I lay amongst the fallen leaves
In too much pain to die.
I waited in an altered state
My heart heavy within my chest
In the distance the silence ceased
And disturbed my final rest.
Tap Tap Tap the noise rung out
And pierced my darkened soul
The echoed moans,
The muffled tones,
Begun to take its toll.
From the shadows a figure crept,
Another by its side,
Of decayed flesh and rotted bone,
The stench of those who died.
Circled round my fallen corpse,
With out-stretched limbs they grasped,
To the Gates of Hell, my body dragged,
One last breath I gasped.

From the beaten path of which I strayed,
Foretold my fate was sealed
This life which lost,
The lives it cost,
The reasons now revealed.
Though in this world of sorrow,
Of torture,
And of hate,
From where death hath dwell,
I altered Fate
And stand once more outside the Gates of Hell.
Although I go on living
In Hell I shall remain,
For those I have hurt
I paid the price,
My Soul, For Eternal Pain!
