Artist's Description

This is the scene in the old port of Montreal, overlooking the Jacques Cartier Bridge. A group of us met there to shoot the International Fireworks Competition last night. You need to arrive at least 2 hours in advance, and it takes close to 2 hours to get out of the vicinity once they’re over, but it’s free, and definitely worth it! As the sun goes down and the lights come on, it offers a splendid view that is priceless. The Molson building sign turns from blue to red, which makes for the beautiful mauve colours in the reflection. (The lines floating across the foreground of the water is a boat panning by).
