A departure from my usual Scottish Landscapes . A tender moment which made it very difficult to concentrate on my photography !
I shot this when we were on a self-drive safari in Kenya, a few years back, it was something of an ‘adventure’ on the roads and far more frightening than the wild animals !! With red dust everywhere…….!
Captured on my “Bigma” lens….a Sigma 50-500mm, (very heavy but great quality optics) through the open window of our vehicle, resting on a bean-bag balanced on the edge of the window.
No filters, f9.5, 1/750 sec shutter, iso 400, auto white balance, iso 400, aperture priority, underexposed by a full stop. Lens set at 417mm.
Camera used….CANON EOS 40D
RAW file processed in CS3, tweaking of Curves/levels, and a slight crop.
