Imprinty Bits

Imprinty bits on your skin and mine.
A reminder of what laid there one time.
My hair on your shoulder like a webs silky maze.
Twisting and turning in never ending ways.

Indents that make patterns that are fun to touch,
You like to stroke them oh so much.
Pretty little imprints of things that touch our skin.
A simple reminder of where things have been.

But you’ve made an imprint that won’t fade a way.
But one that gets deeper with each passing day.
You can’t always see it with the naked eye.
If look at me close you see why.

It’s not on my skin but in my heart and sole,
It won’t go away as life takes it tole.
You’ve touch my heart and made your imprint,
That can only be seen in my eyes glint.

The smile on my face bright and clear,
Makes your lasting mark appear.
Imprinty bits on your skin and mine.
Tells me we’ll always stand the test of time.
