A whole bunch of us got together and went camping at Calliope, near Gladstone Queensland Australia. There’s a camping spot on the Calliope River that’s a little out of the way, but well used. The river is tidal, and a bridge spans the width to allow easy access to those who wish for a good fishing point. The river is excellent for swimming, boating, skiing etc, and dogs are welcome. We just love going there.
After a long and enjoyable evening on this particular trip, we all woke early the next morning to the smell of coffee and bacon, sausages, eggs, tomatos, and more frying on the barbecue. I give you the obligatory morning after camping ritual… the mighty brekky of champions.
