The Pacific Triangle, a coal ship riding the bar on entrance to Newcastle Harbour. This is one of the ships that take 30 million dollars worth of coal out of the harbour each and every day.

Newcastle remains a busy and competitive harbour despite the loss of the steel industry and the area relies heavily on the coal industry for the economy of Newcastle and the Hunter Valley.

Shot taken with a Nikon D70s with a Sigma 50 – 500 mm lens wound fully out on a tripod.
ONE OF OVER 100 SHOTS TAKEN OF ACTIVITY ON NEWCASTLE HARBOUR!
NikonD70s, Sigma 50-500mm lens, auto exposure, as is, no photoshop.
