Tassie is sure a great place to live in ..2 very kind groups of shop owners have allowed me to sell my images as greeting cards in their shops , so a big thankyou to kellie and murray at the Forest General store at Forest and to cindy at " our creations litlle shop of shops " at 34a goldie st wynyard..ya got to love living in Tassie :-)…..posted images that i have selected for cards on to FB and one freind said they should be watermarked …well maybe they should be if i knew how …any thoughts or suggestions ?

So we’ve just had the shortest day of the year and half way through winter and i ssssoooooooooo much want to come out the other side and see summer !…so i’ve decided to do some planning and decided to get to Port Davey in Tassies south west some time in october – november this year and get some shots of a location some people reckon is the best in Australia !!!!..so im just putting the feelers out there to see who is interested ?..to fly to Melaleuca is $395 return with Par avion out of Hobart airport and the 2 options are to walk into Port Davey / Bathurst Harbour ( 2 days walk maybe )…or 2 option is to get a boat in to Bathurst Harbour from Melaleuca ( not sure on this price yet )…sssssoooooo if any one is interested let me know on here or drop me a bubble mail :-)
They say art is in the eye of the beholder !….but why in heavens name did they award the glover prize to a painting with martin bryant in it ?…what the friggin hell was the artist thing when he painted it and what were the judges thinking when they awarded it the prize…yes maybe it caused discussion …but dont they realise how many people are still physically and emotionaly scared from that day in 1996 !

just another reminder to those that might have forgot ..i am having my 1st solo exhibition in Wynyard , Tasmania in conjunction with the Wynyard Tulip Festival and its happening on the 8th , 9 th and 10th of October in the Wynyard R.S.L. rooms with doors opening 8.30 am on all 3 days..it is also being used as a fundraiser for the Clifford Craig Medical Research Foundation with 10% of sales going to the foundation and 100% of sale of my peice "New Life " going to the foundation plus 2 raffles entry is by a gold coin donation which also goes to the foundation…so if any mainlanders find themselves in Tassie do yourself a favour and come to Wynyard for the weekend and all locals hope to see you there
Excited to let everyone know that my very 1st solo exhibition will be happening at Wynyard , Tasmania , Australia on the 8th , 9th and 10th of October in conjuction with the Wynyard tulip fesatival. It will be held in the R.S.L. rooms in Goldie st and be open from 8.30 am till 6 pm on Friday and Sunday and from 8.30 am till 8.30 pm on the Saturday. I will have up to 30 works exhibited with a mixture of framed prints and prints on canvas. I will be donating if sold 100% of the print titled ’’ New Life " to the Clifford Craig Research Medical Research Trust along with 13% of sales of the remaining works .
have just picked up this weeks circular head chronicle and was saddend to learn of the death of wes beckett…whom the beckett falls in the circular head area was named after. He was born in st helens in 1916 and arrived in circular head in 1934 where he was employed as a labourer with tasmanian forestry commision , he was employed with the commision for 46 years except for an interlude in 1942 when he served in the armed forces till 1944. Wes Beckett was passionate about the forest areas in circular head area and is credited with saving the dismal swamp area from being cleared for soldier settlement after ww2 and was also responsible for the establishmebt of the milkshakes forest reserve. He was a keen sports man taking up bushwalking , bowls and golf , he also played football in his younger …
