Apollo Bay

I like you! Sunsets over the ocean.
A new day begins, far distant horizon.
Hearts are tossed upon the seas.
Fishermen wait patiently, until calling it a day.
Birds are resting upon a raft. Others sit dry dock upon the rails.
Ships move slowly over oceans deep.
In another sea, oil leaks from down beneath.
Storms create havoc, and end a young sailors dream.
But her resolve is strong; the world is not that big.
Others enjoy steering craft/vessels with feet in breaking
surf, from waves made by storms at sea.
Sitting like groups of seals, waiting to play upon the next wave.
A lone seal enters the harbour, following a boat, to seemingly play around the pier. Or is she looking for fish to fill a hungry belly?
She glides effortlessly in the water. Children and parents are excited, while fishermen take it all in their stride.
Dogs walk/run free upon the sand, chasing balls thrown. Another dog; put down for attacking a man, the disfigured man trusting in the surgeons knife/hand.
Golfers try their luck, and show their skill. Others practicing; hitting balls at will. The wind and trees having their day,
Ocean waves break upon the harbour wall, boats moored safely inside.
Others return from fishing. The fish are not biting today, and buckets are empty. But they tell me they were bitting yesterday. Tailor, and King George whiting.
The sun begins to hang low, and the night air begins to creep in. Time to go home and cook the mussels, I brought from the fish shop.
