Day 339 of my ‘A Photo A Day’ project.
A couple of days ago we had strong winds, which I’m guessing ripped some leaves from the trees. Today on my lunch break I found this leaf on our bottom patio, laying just under an overhanging plant to the side. I picked it up and noticed how interesting the texture was. The leaf itself had dried slightly and the bright red veins really stood out, so I thought it would make an interesting photo. I had to dust it off however, as it was covered in bits of dirt from the wet and windy weather that had blown it about. I took a few macro shots of it and picked this one as my favourite. It reminds me slightly of the wing of a bat or pterodactyl as it has such an intricate texture and almost looks like skin!
