Nightmare

The Demon is chasing,
But I cannot move,
As rigid as a statue,
Helpless, Doomed.
Trapped inside this endless dream,
The nightmare shifts to another scene.
But I have played this one before.
Falling from Mountains,
Crashing in Cars.
The Snakes that slither,
The Spiders crawl.
The Goblin in the Wardrobe,
The Monsters roar.
Waking with a start,
Bathed in sweat.
Relief of my escape,
My mind at rest.
Drifting out of conciousness,
The Reel is played again.
The Nightmare continues
Until the Nightime ends.
