John Pescoran is a prolific artist who specializes in creating bright, bold and luminous works of surreal pop art inspired by music, perseverance, determination, imagination, hope, and total immersion and admiration of art. Not one to limit, restrict himself, John Pescoran gets immense joy in creating works of surreal pop art either with oil paints, acrylic, ink or anything else that might be lying around.

John Pescoran was born in Lima, Peru and grew up in Hayward, California. He attended Academy of Art University where he studied drawing and painting. For almost two decades John Pescoran focused on creating pure works of pop art, that is until he decided to combine his love for surrealism to create exclusive works of Surreal Pop art. When he is not actively making a series of paintings, he spends countless hours creating a large body of drawings, sketches, and other illustrations. John is a part of the Hypermodern (art) movement as a graphic artist & writer.

In the beginning of 2013 John Pescoran fully submerged himself into creating (surreal-pop) Graffiti Sketch art. With his immersion into Graffiti Sketch art, John was instantly inspired to produce music that would coincide with his unique brand of [Surreal-Pop] Graffiti artwork. Unable to keep his Graffiti art in a two-dimensional surface, John set-out to ‘turn up the volume’ on his new works of art. Like his ability to precisely combine the dreamlike visions of Surrealism with the boldness and optimism of Pop-Art, John manages to combine the sonic harshness of Industrial music with the energy and uptempo beats of Drum and Bass.

As well as immersing himself in painting, drawing, and print-making, John is well versed in sculpting, video-art and other art forms. John has sold his work in the U.S., Europe, Latin America and Canada. He resides in California.
