Have Confidence

Words bouncing off each other
Echoing into infinity
Convalescent cacophonies
Coloured, cold and held in thought
Brought up from bold depths
Dark of the imagination…

Stationed gallantly at the outposts of information and
Rationing the reasonable defines,
So durst the demons of dirt and divinity
Suck on infinity and
Die, slowly, all of the time still
Whispering the gossip of gold-mines
To ghosts of those who could not help to survive
The savant crimes
Their passion defined
The beating of their hearts with -

Thump, thump!

Petitioning the mind for more space to hold,
A poker-face mould in your mirror is sold,
To the hell of a writhing soul;
No new unknown to the terrors of time -
Your bones are good for naught but rust
And yet, we are still beautiful…

And so as I’m told I’ll tell you now
Your bold view of restropective “grassy-knolls”
Is a death bell kneeling in the secret folds of a lie;
A conspiracy of sorts;
A hot date gone blind
In the frenzies of passionate discourse -

My fears and yours – they can keep their scaly mouths shut.

It is time to shut off the oxygen.
