Artist's Description

Lately I have been researching the history of people who made amazing impact to human society.

This small painting represents Irish born John Hunter who didn’t do well at school because he had dyslexia, however he became an amazing surgeon of his time. Hunter preferred to learn about the human anatomy by doing postmortem examinations ‘hands on’. He never really achieved his qualifications as a surgeon, however it is said that Hunter knew more about the human body better than his own brother William who did have qualifications. Painted in acrylic paint on canvas
