I’m passionate about elephants……

The first time I saw an African ele in the wild it touched my soul and I was determined to do everything possible to help ensure their survival.

Although in some African countries numbers have increased since the original ivory ban in 1989, overall the numbers of eles are dwindling. It’s very hard to get accurate estimates of numbers remaining but at best, guesstimates are around 450,000. Give it 10-15 years and there will be absolutely no eles left alive in the wild in Africa. Rhinos are also being poached at a horrendous rate – at least 3 a day when there are only around 28,000 left in the wild.

100% proceeds from all items available from cards, photographs, calendars to t-shirts go to pennies for eles. Pennies for eles is a not for profit that provides funding for projects run by Transfrontier Africa that are involved with the conservation and research of the African elephant and rhinos and raising awareness of their real (not perceived) situation. pennies for eles also supports the Black Mamba Anti Poaching Unit
