In the Moment

I wish the sun could marry the moon,
Because they can’t,as you told me.
And you clearly explained why,
Although they’re a boy and a girl –
Their colour is different and they
Belong to the day and the night.

I wish the snow couldn’t marry only the winter
And snow when it’s July even in the northern hemisphere
( Well, at least form time to time )
And Santa Claus could give his presents on the beach
In swimming trunks, not only in Australia.

I wish there were more limitless and boundless
Universes, not just this, to measure your love,
To measure mine and Daddy’s. I wish.

I wish you were here. Which you’ll learn is not just a song.
I wish the dachshund and the deer were one,
Which is from a poem and you’ll have to read it
When you grow up…

I wish wish didn’t express the improbable and desirable.
I wish it didn’t denote regret.
I also wish we could walk hand in hand, as we did that day, before I had to
Come back to where I have never belonged to,
And Daddy walked before us and it was difficult
Because of the snow having married the winter,
Because of the sun which hadn’t been able to marry the moon
And was sad and not shining,
And the only universe available to store love,
Your six-year old one, mine and Daddy’s,
And that loneliness but not in Jersey City…

Some moments I wish could last forever.
