This very much bigger than life sized fly was among a few hung on the entrance walls leading into the Milford Sound, South Island, New Zealand, Harbor area, One could only wish that summers there saw more normal sized creatures

BEAUTIFUL WORK DEAR PHIL!!!!!!!
Fun finding this fellow on the wall, vitta. Glad it was art!
great work, glad it’s not life size xx
LynnWe agree on that one!
It was once rumored that an Air Force maintenance crewman, who refueled B52 bombers while stationed in Alaska, had pumped over 2000 pounds of fuel into one of these before he realized what it was! The government declared it a threat to national security and contracted a manufacturer to make large fly swatters. What concerned me was the expense of not just the fly swatters but the over-all cost of implementing their use. They called it job creation! (<fiction!) Nice one, Phil. I’m hoping they can’t migrate! :-)
PeteSeems like the money invested should have gone towards upgrading their screening process for recruits! I have seen Mosquitos flying in formation, it fllys
