Artist's Description

From the 1930s a paraffin fired blow torch which needed a certain technique involving pressurising and preheating with methylated spirits to make it work. As it wasn’t easy to light it was often put down lit in a safe place which sometimes wasn’t, resulting in singed trousers and small fires. Canon 550d 1/200 sec’ f5.6. Featured in Plain Backgrounds.
