Artist's Description

Hong Kong is such a bright and playful place, it seemed fitting to ‘model’ it with some tilt and shift. This shot was taken from the Big Ship in Whampoa.

Composition:
I wanted a busy street to highlight the Honk Kong hustle and bustle, as well as provide plenty of detail for the viewer to focus on. I also wanted a lot of strong colour to enhance the plastic notion of toy models. Thirdly, I wanted a high vantage point to simulate the perspective that people view models from.

Details:
Nikon D80, Tamron 18-50, Handheld
ISO 100, f/8, 20mm, 1/80 second

Processing:
Photoshop CS5
Light Sharpening for clarity
Strong Saturation increase to add the artificial “toy” look
Added blur to set focus
