Hi! I am a photographer based out of Montreal, Quebec. Presently I am attending my Third Term in the AEC Commercial Photography Program at Dawson College.

As I have followed my path down the road of photography, my work has gone through many changes.

For me, photography is something magical that takes place between the mind, the camera, light and what I see. My photos are more than capturing a moment in time. Beyond light and shadow, I believe is a story that is only partially revealed – evoking and inviting the viewer to interact with each and every picture in a different way.

My photography is anything but ordinary. Passion is what motivates me and fuels my creativity and imagination. I love thinking out-side of the box by being unique and unconventional and constantly challenging myself to overcome impossibilities. Yes, I can follow photographic rules, but I can easily move to a new level as I am always inspired to follow my own vision. I like to keep things simple, yet have people guessing at how it was done. While I prefer to work with natural light and surroundings, I am also very efficient at formal studio work as it always inspires new and creative ideas.

I like to push the boundaries into the realm of montage – mixing ideas and concepts that have been percolating in my mind. Using Photoshop, special care is given to digital manipulation. The final image is carefully created by choosing, filters, textures, lighting and other techniques, blending the images together very much like a painter would paint a painting – enhancing but never obscuring the original vision.

I strive to have my images stand out from the crowd and am always evolving my style to do so.

Paul.
