Artist's Description

On Orcas Island, the largest of the San Juan Islands in northwest Washington state, a vintage Stearman biplane regularly gives rides to provide breathtaking views of the area. While watching the plane take off and land, artist Paul jackson noticed one seagull in particular would wait for the plane to pass by his spot on a pier when on landing approach, and take off and fly alongside the plane, over and over again. Paul captured the scene in the beautiful, fading light of sunset in this 26 X 20 watercolor.
