Artist's Description

A tiger’s eye painted as a glass mosaic work of art, a striking and powerful painting in it’s own right, was created by Artist Paul Jackson to sell an idea. The goal, to create a 30 foot diameter, 300,000 glass tile mosaic based on a 1999 watercolor tiger named “Spot”. It worked, and the “Tiger Spot” project was unveiled in October 2001 on the campus of the University of Missouri.
