Software Developer of 12+ years, finally realising there are much more interesting / far nicer things to look at, rather than a large monitor covered in code.

Starting about 5 years ago with a 3mp Fujifilm S5000, I then upgraded to an S9500. Last year I took the plunge and finally joined the DSLR club with a Nikon D90. I use a Nikon 16-85mm VR and a Nikon 70-300mm.
I’ve also joined the macro club with a Nikon 105mm VR Micro and was recently bought a SB-600 ring-flash to the that light where it’s needed.

For the most-part I would class myself as a “reproduction / documentary photographer” with “occasional eye for the dramatic” rather than an arty-type, though sometimes an idea comes to mind.

General Photography Update

So I’m spending a number of hours taking pictures of my old hobby (and would still be if I had the time) of Warhammer figurines. I’m fairly sure it lead to my need for glasses and habit for poor seated posture. It is currently contributing to poor posture and eye strain taking the pictures and then processing them! / Take a peek over on my flickr / More coming soon.
