Of course it looks majestic, pictoresque and beautiful. It is an old habit to build castles up the hill, and the village underneath. Historians claim that this method makes sure that a castle is easier to defend. The real reason might be preventing unsatisfied citizens from throwing down garbage if it would be built the other way round.
