Artist's Description

So tiny, so narrow, the living space of a peat barge in Holland.
I’m almost too tall to stand right up in the super small living room on a square meter…and a ceiling not too high.
Let alone in the cargo space of the barge, head down, walking bent forward making photographs. A back breaking job :)

Featured peat barge in history:
The Dutch Revolt, the 1590 peat barge attack on Breda became one of the most famous episodes in the history of the Dutch nation.
A famous victory in the Eighty Years War.
In 1590 Prince Maurice employed a subtle trick to capture the fortress town from the Spaniards. Hiding in a peat barge, seventy soldiers were smuggled into the city. They attacked the guards and let in Prince Maurice with his army.

Equipment: Eyes, hands, mind, soul, Canon Eos 30D
