I thought this baby was a spider until I got close and there he was this cute adorable long hind leg baby. First time that I have seen one in my garden.
Thanks to Trish Meyer who has identified what I thought is a baby grasshopper but he is a katydid.
The difference between a grasshopper and katydid ( from internet)
Katydids have much longer antennae than grasshoppers, katydids antennae may exceed their own body length.
Katydid’s bodies are typically rounder in shape than grasshoppers.
Katydids have tiny wings on their sides that distinguish them from both grasshoppers and crickets.
