Things Not to Do When Photographing Food (for the strong of stomach)

1.Don’t let your pets roam free about the house. The minute you turn your back your subject is gone. Photographing crumbs and drool isn’t that interesting or appetizing.

2.Don’t let your pets shed on the food. Unless you enjoy Photoshopping out pet hair.

3.Don’t send the leftovers to work with your husband until you are absolutely certain that you don’t need them.

4.Don’t let your spouse roam free about the house or you will have the same problems that you have with the pets. Check out number 1 above. Number 2 isn’t an issue.

5. Be very careful about shooting brown food. It can look really nasty if made in the wrong shape.
