Adelaide Botanic Gardens.

The Blue Nile waterlily was sacred to the Ancient Egyptians. They believed that in the begining, darkness ruled the world until the lily rose from the abyss.When the flower opened, its petalss revealed a young sun god sitting in the golden heart who banished the darkness and allowed life to begin.
