Damage Control

Everyone is a little damaged inside
We all have darkness that we try to hide
We fear our flaws define our sum
And look for someone better to become
But the best we can be is ourselves
And leave the insecurities on the shelf
Don’t regret the past, it’s no mistake
Take all the pain, hurt and heartache
Step forward with strength and hope
Knowing that you will always cope
So, grit your teeth and ride it out
Future smiles will erase your doubt
