W's Victim

The cell is dark and cold
He sits in the corner all alone
The daily visitor is the one he dreads
Can he bare another broken bone

It has been a long detention
His beard has grown thick
The daily visitor is the one he dreads
Today’s weapon: A broken broom stick

After months of holding out
His will starts to lose pace
The daily visitor is the one he dreads
This time it is punishment to the face

He is strapped to a board
A number of men gather around
The visitor he has dreaded
Today is to be unfound

The group of them pin him in place
The plastic wrap put on tight
Water starts pouring over
His body will lose this fight

The gagging reflex sets in
The choking sensation won’t quit
Somehow his mind blurbs out
“My God, this is it!”

It is a means to the end
And not torture, right?
This poor solider.
What will be of his plight?

Alive but broken now
Back to his cell he must go
With the distant chatter of laughter
They have gained what they needed to know

“If only I could see the ones
that I love and know!”
“I would give anything
to be back in Ohio.”

My guess is that Bush would call this torture but probably not until the last line. If we do it, it’s fine. If they do it, it’s not. What a mess he has made! Good riddance to him and the hell that he has caused.
