man with no friend

Did the dust on the shelf get thicker each day,
as the hands on the clock go round the same way,

did my heart skip a beat and my tears turned to streems,
as i walked down the street and saw the man with no dreams,

did the doors shut tight as he lifted his head,
as he asked for a bite or a blanket instead,

did the sun come out to brighten his day,
as quick as the clouds to take it away,

did the rain pour down as sharp as a knife,
as a tall blond women ran out of his life,

did he talk of the money or the health that he lost,
as he pulled in his bags and started to cough,

did his bones crack once in that cold empty night,
as he turned in his box and continued to fight,

did the world go past on its race to the end,
does anyone care about the MAN WITH NO FRIEND..
