taken through a broken window – into the inside of this broken farm cottage! The light you see is the sun coming through the also broken roof!
The building is part of a 200 year old farm – all the barns and houses are now owned by different people – it is thought that part of the house (possibly this room!) was once part of a Chambre d’hote to which the Pilgrims stopped on the route to Santiago de Compostela
This Spring (2010) sadly saw this part of the farm being taken down, brick by brick. It will soon be converted to “parking” for the rest of the property – it was very sad watching it week by week – but it was a “danger” so needed to be removed! The memories of this lovely house will be long forgotten in the debris, for a glimpse back into the past – a special moment?

May 2010 – I have just found out this building is now being taken apart – brick by brick – how sad – another part of history soon to be lost! I am so glad I took the photo when I did!
