The sun was just starting to set on a fabulous few (not as many as I would have liked) hours in the coastal town of Royan on the SW coast of France – Royan is a very modern caostal town compared to many areas of France due to it being bombed out in the 2nd World War – it reminded us very much of the South of France with the white buildings and long beaches, and many sea front restaurants! Still has the lovey atmopshere of the Charente Maritime….today reached the heady heights of 20 degrees (in town) so that meant for some strip and get the rays! We started our day on this beach and ended it here – unfortunately I didn’t get my way to stay for the full sunset – which would have been spectacular I feel!!
