THE TIME GARDEN

The garden stands behind, an old crumbling brick wall
Clematus, hangs all over it in great abundance
Falling in waves of sweet smelling abandonment
On to weathered brick paviors in the courtyard
The borders are alive with colour and vitality
When in the garden time seems to stand still
The garden is mine just now
But not always so I tend it so lovingly, as the seasons dictate
Yet I know some time in the furture, other hands will tend the garden
It will propagate and prosper as in the past
The same applies, to tend the garden, to look after all its needs was my desire
The garden goes on and on
Time doe,s not diminish the flowers, the shrubs, the grass
Year upon year, generation upon generation
The time garden will florish and prosper
Its only the gardeners that change
