Artist's Description

Kumeyaay youth honor their Fathers at a Powwow on the Beach in Southern California. The Kumeyaay have a rich cultural heritage in this area…going back at least 5 thousand years. They were pushed away from their homes in the mid nineteenth century by greed and racism.
These are the colors of the first Californians.

This is dedicated to Native Americans of the Beautiful Western States.

Imperial Beach, California, USA
